E-focus on Wales

Can you help?

Voice is setting up a Wales e-focus group.

What’s an e-focus group?

From time to time, Voice is invited to comment on government proposals or to contribute to government/departmental consultations. This provides us with an excellent opportunity to air members’ views and to influence and inform government policy.

We cannot do this, however, without first seeking the views of our members.

You are the experts. You know best what is impacting on your role in your area, and how the decisions being made by your employer, local or central government are affecting your day-to-day working life and, of course, the children and young people you are teaching and caring for.

Our e-focus groups comprise members who are happy to be contacted, via e-mail, with requests for comment. There is no obligation to respond to all requests, just those you have a particular interest in/expert knowledge of.

All contributions are confidential and the only information included in our Official Responses is the collective view. Neither individual members who contributed  nor their workplaces/local authorities are identified.

We’ve currently got England and Scotland e-focus groups and our new Senior Professional Officer for Wales, Liz Williams, is keen to set up a group for Wales.

Is this something you’d like to be part of?

If so, and you’re a Voice member, please email me (triciapritchard@voicetheunion.org.uk) requesting that I add you to the new Wales e-focus group.

As I said, we won’t inundate you with requests for information, and there’s absolutely no expectation for you to respond to all requests – we appreciate you have a busy workload.
